Apple Strudel is as Viennese as the coffee mixture known as a Melange, as a Wiener Schnitzel recipe here, or as the Schönbrunn Palace.

 

Cheddar Cheese Shortcrust Pastry Chicken & Mushroom Pies

Total comfort food! This has to be by far the best chicken & mushroom pie I have ever made or tasted! I saw the recipe on the Great British Chefs website and had to try Cit...and share it!

Instead of making one big dish I divided mine into small ramekin dishes which works beautifully and looks so much better I think. This works well with Quorn Chicken pieces Vegetarians!!

The pastry could also be substituted by Puff pastry if you prefer but the cheesy shortcrust pastry worked so well!

Two tone Icing - Mr Whippy Cupcakes

During the long winter months we crave for Mr. Whippy's ice cream van to come whizzing round the corner playing his little tune to announce his arrival.

I always have left over Gingerbread dough when I make gingerbread houses so here is what I make with the left over dough.....

Gingerbread Village

Every year Leia and I make a gingerbread house but this year we have decided to push the boat out and create a village.
