Chicken Tikka Makhani

This is another one of our favourite “take away” recipes, this one I found on the Great British Chefs site. Tastes just as good as the popular Chicken Korma! The Chicken Tikka Makhani is based on a tomato sauce and a little spicier than the Korma but still fine for the whole family!

In search for perfect Baby Booties "continued"... I found them!!

These are more what I have been looking for!  You can find the original post and pattern at Tao of Craft – Modern baby booties here

They are gorgeous as they are but the possibility of dressing them up to make them a little more special are tempting…ribbons, buttons, gems…. For my first attempt I used some red ribbon and made two bows to decorate the straps.

In search of the perfect baby boots

My sister in law, my cousin and my work friend are all expecting babies early this year. I thought it would be nice to make them a quilt for their babies as well as a pair of booties and matching bibs.
I am all set with the quilts but I am now looking for inspiration on baby boots.

Leia’s Little Hands Create – Marshmallow Rocky Roads

I am always on the look out for recipes for Leia that she can make by herself. She is now 8 and hates when I have to do parts of the recipe for her. To be honest I like the fact it teaches her how to cook or bake. And as usual she is so proud of her finished goods…. and of course there is lot’s of genuine praise and mmmmmm’s!

Stingy Cheese, Herbs and Garlic packed into a loaf of bread!

I found this recipe on Pinterest and I wanted to make it straight away! I eventually used this delicious bread to accompany a hot buffet we had a little while ago. Everyone loved it and I can see this will be used for many BBQ’s in the summer. There are so many different versions out there I am not sure which one is the original so I can give credit. Any way I looked at a few and decided on using the ingredients that I liked best…

Oh what a glorious combination! It is an acquired taste admittedly but if you like the combination of sweet & tangy then this is perfect!

Glorious Victoria Sponge

In 1861Queen Victoria had been on the throne for almost a quarter century, when she suffered the tragic death of her husband, Albert. She was famous for her devotion to him, and would remain in mourning for the rest of her life. In this same year a landmark cookbook was published, Mrs Beeton's Book of Household Management, and it included a recipe for "Victoria Sandwiches"

Still a favourite of many! Often served at summer fairs and tea parties.
